Eating the Elephant 🐘

One of my favorite sayings is "to eat an elephant, you have to do it one bite at a time." This mindset guided me throughout the project. When working on something as big as a global platform, you have to take it step by step. That was my main focus and the biggest lesson I learned from this project.

For my portfolio case study, I conducted an in-depth exploration of international relationships, focusing on couples with diverse cultural backgrounds. Specifically, I interviewed several binational couples who had chosen to marry outside their countries of origin. This unique demographic provided rich insights into cross-cultural unions and the complexities of navigating marriage across borders.

In my competitive analysis, I examined venue management platforms, starting with the leading ones in the U.S. and expanding to those in Europe and South America. Key findings include:

  1. Fragmented Market: The venue landscape is divided by region, complicating cross-border searches.

  2. Lengthy Booking Process: Current platforms often have time-consuming booking procedures, indicating a need for efficiency.

  3. Language Barriers: Many platforms struggle with effective communication across languages.

  4. Limited AI Integration: There is a lack of AI features for personalized recommendations and intelligent matching.

These insights highlight an opportunity to create an AI-driven venue management platform that addresses these challenges, enhancing the user experience for event planners and venue operators globally. This solution could capitalize on a growing market projected to reach $24.16 billion by 2029.
